“Every note we sing is for Jesus. Let our voices be a living offering of thanks to Him.” The harmonies of a faithful heart
Born with a unique burden and an unshakable spirit, Simon turned every melody into a prayer — leading hearts toward heaven through the gift of music.
Sacred Music & Hymnody
Simon came into this world with a great calling. Born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, his body was frail, yet his soul brimmed with strength. From an early age he loved music, often humming hymns while his heart pondered the mysteries of God’s love.
His journey has been one of faith, perseverance and unwavering trust. Through every trial he never stopped smiling, never ceased loving, and never forgot to say, “Thank you, Jesus.” He understood his life as a canvas, and God as the artist — his condition not a limitation, but a part of the masterpiece.
For twenty years he served as a choir conductor, teaching that hymns are more than melodies; they are prayers set to music — bridges that bring peace to weary souls and lift praise to God. When he could no longer play the piano, he answered a new call: composing harmonies for four voices, each note a testimony of faith.

Milestones of a musician’s fight, faith and devotion.
Born in Lebanon with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Simon Merheb was given a body that would grow frail — and a spirit the illness could never touch. He trained at the CNDL School of Music, deepened his craft at NDU under master teachers, and spent over twenty years leading choirs and playing the liturgy of his local church. When illness finally stilled his hands at the keyboard, he answered a new calling: composing four-voice harmonies, offering every note as a prayer. His is a story of faith fierce enough to sing through every storm.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as it is in heaven, so shall it be on earth. Matthew 6:10
